About Woking
Is a large and busy town and borough in northwest Surrey. Expanding as new transport links were constructed, including the Wey Navigation, Basingstoke Canal and London to Southampton railway line, with the modern town being established in the mid-1860s.
With a mixture of detached homes along leafy streets and lots of terraced and semi detached housing there is a vibrant mix along with a growing town centre, most noticeable with the very tall buildings in the town centre.
What they wanted
Window by window and door by door, this family is replacing all the old windows and doors with brand new stylish Aluminium Sliding Patio doors in a sleek anthracite grey. To match, they are opting for aluminium windows also in anthracite grey, but with the inside of the windows in white.
These new additions will elevate the home’s energy efficiency as well as security and noise insulation.
How they found us
They had a broken coffee table that needed to be reglazed. So they called upon their local glazing repair company, us! Being constantly impressed with the level of our service they have kept coming back time and again for more windows and doors.
What were the old windows and door like
The old windows were a standard uPVC and starting to show signs of ageing. The previous patio doors again were a standard uPVC, French door style with windows on the side.
How will it change your living
As we already had one of the sliding patio doors installed not more than a year ago we are already living the benefits, with so much more extra light filling the back of the house compared to before. It really has made such a difference to how we all live. The windows just look amazing, with a noticeable difference in draughts!
What were the fitters like
We’ve had different fitters fit different windows, doors and repairing broken glass but all have been extremely good at what they do. We can’t fault any of them. Hard working with no corners cut. We are always constantly happy with the level of service from Sheerwater Glass.
