Wood Grain Effect uPVC Windows and Doors Project: Woking, Surrey

30th Jul 2018

The Project

Our clients first embarked on their house renovation with us three years ago. The stunning Edwardian property in Woking, Surrey was in need of updating; the original timber windows wouldn’t shut properly, there was daylight between the cracks in the frames and the property’s security was poor.

However, the client deliberated over changing the windows and doors because they didn’t want to lose the character of this beautiful period property.

How we helped

After visiting a friend’s house who had undertaken a similar period home renovation project with us, our clients were reassured that we could supply and install a product which wouldn’t detract from the original features and character of the property.

After these discussions, the decision was made to replace every single window and door, barring the front door.

A few months later…

We completed the project by installing windows and a door in the new outside gym!

Our clients chose uPVC flush casement windows and doors with astragal bars and a wood grain effect in black and white, matching the originals perfectly. Our wood grain effect windows and doors are a very popular choice for owners of period properties. They’re energy efficient, expertly match the style of the property and don’t come attached with a timber price tag.

Our client’s feedback

Our client commented that their experience with Sheerwater Glass has been, ‘very good’. When there have been any issues at all, they were dealt with swiftly and efficiently. They said, “The team were all friendly to deal with and very responsive.
